The Rules of the Game

"Getting" Grads
- "Gotchas" can only be attempted before 8 am, and after 4 pm on weekdays (Monday to Friday)
- "Gotchas" can be attempted at anytime on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays
- To "get" a grad, you must first yell "Gotcha" and then proceed to tag the player
- The use of any form of violence, or inappropriate behavior, for the attainment of a target's tab will result in the disqualification of participant
- Once you have "gotten" a grad, please post on the Facebook event's wall (or e-mail us) who you have caught and which day. Then on every Wednesday, bring the green tabs you've collected to Ms Sizto's room at lunch.
Safety Zones
Participants
cannot attempt a "Gotcha" at the following locations:
- another participant's house or surrounding property (unless formally invited)
- school property on weekdays
- the target's work place, lessons/tutoring or sports (however it can be attempted as soon as the said activity is over)
- inside a washroom
- a place of worship (ie. Chruch, youth gatherings etc.)
Other Game Rules
- All participants must wear assigned wristband at all times. Wristbands must be in sight at all times. Only participants that wear assigned wristbands are able to participate in "Gotcha" until they are eliminated.
- When a player is caught by another, he/she must detach the tab from the wrist band and give it to the tagger immediately.
- Reports of disobedience to the rule above will result in immediate disqualification from the game.
- Participants who have obtained tabs must give the tabs to the Grad Council Coordinators so that points can be recorded and elimated participants can be accounted for.
Getting the Last Laugh
The Gotcha game may end before May 28th if all but one participant have lost their tabs before this date.
A prize will be awarded to either the last standing contestant or the person who completed the most "Gotchas".
